The Crimson Tide ranked ahead of Clemson, Michigan and in the top 4.
As for the Big Ten, 5 teams are in the first 12 spots of the Top 25 CFP rankings:

However, as has been proven in the first two years of the CFP rankings, these will likely look much different at the end of the season.
Two years ago, Mississippi State was the first No. 1 ahead of Florida State, Auburn and Ole Miss. Only Florida State made the playoff.
Last year, Clemson started No. 1 and remained there. LSU, Ohio State and Alabama rounded out the top-4 spots. Only Clemson and Alabama reached the playoff.
