As everyone’s attention in the college basketball world shifted to seeds and brackets, the final AP Poll was released Monday.
Fresh off its Big Ten Tournament title, Michigan entered the Top 25 for the second time this season at No. 23. John Beilein’s club was also ranked 25th in November, but had not entered the rankings since.
The Wolverines (a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament) were one of three Big Ten teams in the Top 25. Purdue was the highest-ranked at No. 15 and Wisconsin, which was handed a No. 8 seed in the Big Dance, was No. 25.
Villanova, Gonzaga and Kansas — all No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament — topped the poll. Here’s the Top 25 in its entirety:
- North Carolina
- West Virginia
