Big Ten basketball returns Tuesday with eight teams in action.
Only three Big Ten teams enter the conference portion of the schedule in the top 25, but many teams have NCAA Tournament hopes. The 18-game Big Ten schedule tips off with some intriguing matchups that will run from the afternoon until night.
Northwestern enters Big Ten play at 11-2 and will get a road test at Penn State. The Wildcats have never made the NCAA tournament. Rutgers, also 11-2, is on the road at No. 14 Wisconsin.
Maryland and Illinois, who both have eyes on tournament bids, will tip off at 5 p.m. ET, and Minnesota will host Michigan State at 9 p.m. ET.
