Two Big Ten teams are among five finalists to add a major player at wide receiver in Pittsburgh’s Julian Major.
Wisconsin and Michigan State, along with Virginia, Kentucky and Iowa State, are listed in Major’s top schools, which the class of 2018 wide receiver posted on Twitter Friday evening.

According to 247Sports, Major is listed as the 18th-best player in the state of Pennsylvania and the 97th-best wide receiver prospect in the nation. He’s listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds.
What’s interesting is Major also received offers from in-state schools Pitt and Penn State. However, he did not list either in his list of top schools, even as both are looking to be perennial bowl teams for the foreseeable future.
Major also received scholarships from Toledo, Boston College and Arkansas.
Currently, 247Sports lists Michigan State as the unanimous favorite to land Major’s commitment, giving the Spartans a 100 percent chance to land Major. Major received his offer from Michigan State on May 8.
