Offensive Player of the Week: Maryland RB Ty Johnson
He needed only seven carries to compile 204 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the 50-7 rout of Purdue.

Defensive Players of the Week: Penn State DB Marcus Allen, Northwestern DL Ifeadi Odenigbo
It would be hard to choose one or the other, so both Allen and Odenigbo get recognition. Allen had 22 tackles in the overtime win against previously undefeated Minnesota while Odenigbo made four sacks in the Wildcats’ win against Iowa.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Minnesota K Emmitt Carpenter
Though the Gophers lost to Penn State in overtime, Carpenter starred by making four field goals. He made all four field-goal attempts and also converted both extra points. His field goals were for 37, 35, 37 and 46 yards. His last one was in overtime.

Freshman of the Week: Ohio State RB Mike Weber
In another Ohio State blowout win, Weber rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only 14 attempts in the 58-0 win against Rutgers.
