Another Big Ten football Saturday is in the past. Now it’s time to look at the week’s biggest stars.
Offensive Players of the Week: Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett, Northwestern RB Justin Jackson
Barrett led the Buckeyes to a huge road win at Wisconsin in a top-10 showdown at night. Barrett had 226 passing yards, 92 rushing yards and 3 total touchdowns in the thrilling 30-23 overtime win.
Jackson ran for 188 yards and 2 TDs as Northwestern beat Michigan State, 54-40.

Defensive Player of the Week: Wisconsin LB Jack Cichy
Even though the Badgers lost to Ohio State, Cichy had a huge game with 15 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss as Wisconsin contained the usually overwhelming Ohio State offense.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Northwestern’s Solomon Vault
Vault scored a 95-yard kick return TD against Michigan State.

Freshman of the Week: Illinois DB Patrick Nelson
Nelson had 14 tackles in the win against Rutgers. He also had 1.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks in the 24-7 win.
