Here are the Week 10 winners around the Big Ten:
Co-Offensive Players of the Week: Michigan QB Wilton Speight, Ohio State HB Curtis Samuel
Both stars had big games in wins against Maryland and Nebraska. Speight was 19 for 24 for 362 passing yards and 2 TDs. He also had 16 rushing yards with a touchdown.
Samuel had 41 yards on 5 carries but was the leader in the passing attack with 137 receiving yards and 2 TDs on only 8 catches.

Defensive Player of the Week: Illinois LB Tre Watson
In the win against Michigan State, Watson made a career-best 16 tackles. He also had 1.5 tackles for loss as the Illini beat Michigan State 31-27 for Illinois’ second conference win.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Minnesota K Emmit Carpenter
The Gophers kicker was 3-for-3 on field goals and also made all 5 extra-point attempts in the 44-31 win vs. Purdue. Carpenter made field goals of 52, 53 and 28 yards as Minnesota improved to 7-2.
Freshman of the Week: Penn State OL Connor McGovern
McGovern helped Penn State score 41 points and post 599 yards in the 27-point win against Iowa. Penn State ran the ball 52 times to get 359 yards on the ground along with 3 TDs.
McGovern is the first Penn State offensive lineman to win a Big Ten weekly award. He’s also only the third offensive lineman in the conference’s history to win a Big Ten weekly honor.
.@Condor_McGovern is just 3rd OL to win B1G weekly honors in B1G history, joining OSU’s Korey Stringer (1994) and MSU’s Sean Poole (2004).
