Comcast is dropping Big Ten Network in all non-Big Ten markets. BTN’s response:
Comcast XFinity has decided unilaterally to drop BTN in many markets. All of their competitors still carry BTN everywhere. We at BTN share your disappointment. Let Comcast know how you feel.

That’s … some serious attitude.
Comcast’s announcement that it was dropping the Big Ten Network trickled out on Thursday. First, a customer service rep tweeted that the cable giant was dropping Big Ten Network in all markets by May 10. That turned out to be false, but Comcast confirmed that it was dropping BTN in all non-Big Ten markets.
Some further clarification from Comcast media relations.
The markets that will continue to receive BTN are Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
States not on this list are considered out-of-market.

(You may notice that Nebraska and Iowa aren’t on that list, but Comcast isn’t a player in those markets.)
