Taylor burst onto the scene in Madison this season, finishing with 1,847 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. Most recently, those numbers helped him finish 6th in the Heisman Trophy voting. He also earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and was named the conference’s Freshman of the Year.
Dobbins, meanwhile, wasn’t even slated to start this season. But with running back Mike Weber injured to begin the year, Dobbins proved he was more than capable of shouldering the rushing load. He finished the season with 1,364 rushing yards — averaging 7.54 yards per carry — and added 22 receptions, providing the Buckeyes with an all-purpose offensive threat.
On defense, Scott led the Spartans with 9 pass breakup and added two interceptions in 11 starts. At Illinois, Williams finished second in the Big Ten among freshmen with 64 tackles. He also had 3 interceptions and a forced fumble.
