The Jordan Brand Classic rosters were announced on Thursday, and two commits to Big Ten programs will be playing in the game in April.
Illinois commit Ayo Dosunmu and Maryland commit Jalen Smith will be playing in the game, and the two future Big Ten players will both be playing on the game’s home team. In addition, the 17th-annual Jordan Brand Classic will feature other prospects such as Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett, among others.
Dosunmu — who signed with the Fighting Illini on Nov. 8, 2017 — is a 5-star prospect, according to 247Sports. In addition, 247Sports ranks Dosunmu the No. 1 prospect out of Illinois in his recruiting class, and the No. 4 overall combo guard. Nationally, the guard out of Morgan Park High School in Chicago is ranked as the No. 27 overall player in his class.
Smith signed with Maryland on Nov. 8, as well. The 6-foot-10 power forward out of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore is a 5-star prospect, according to 247Sports. Among all the prospects out of Maryland in his recruiting class, Smith is ranked No. 2. Among power forwards in his class, he is ranked No. 7. Overall, he is the No. 22 ranked prospect in the nation.

In previous years, NBA players such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Kyrie Irving and Chris Paul have played in the game.
The Jordan Brand Classic will take place on April 8 at the Barclays Center in New York City.
