Bell initially planned to commit to a university last Thursday, but decided to postpone the decision, saying “this is what’s best for me,” on Twitter. He made the final decision to postpone his college choice a weekend after visiting Ohio State during its 30-27 double overtime victory over Michigan.
Bell, who is rated as the seventh-best athlete in the 2017 recruiting class, has made official visits to Rutgers, Ohio State and Maryland, according to CBS Sports. 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions gives Rutgers an 86 percent chance of landing the New Jersey resident. Ohio State and Michigan both have a seven percent chance of receiving a commitment from Bell.
