The 2018 NBA Draft is taking place on June 21.
Prior to the draft, however, is the combine, which is being held from May 16-20 in Chicago. On Friday, Yahoo obtained the list of players who are invited to participate and 69 players accepted.
Eight of the 69 come from the Big Ten:
- Keita Bates-Diop, Ohio State
- Miles Bridges, Michigan State
- Tony Carr, Penn State
- Bruno Fernando, Maryland
- Kevin Huerter, Maryland
- Jaren Jackson Jr., Michigan State
- Justin Jackson, Maryland
- Moritz Wagner, Michigan
Certain players on this list are considered sure-fire lottery picks — like Jackson Jr. — and others are probably wondering if they would even get drafted and are looking more at the possibility of returning to school.
According to an ESPN mock draft, Jackson Jr. is projected to be the No. 4 pick in the draft, while Bridges goes No. 11, Bates-Diop goes No. 19, Justin Jackson goes No. 38, Carr No. 44 and Wagner No. 47. Huerter and Fernando were not mentioned in the projections.
