ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. released his latest mock draft Wednesday.
Kiper predicted six Big Ten players will go in the first round of the NFL Draft, which will be held April 27-29 in Philadelphia. And like last year, Kiper has slated a lot of Buckeyes to come off the draft board early.
Kiper has Ohio State cornerback Marshon Lattimore going fifth overall to the Tennessee Titans in his most recent mock draft. Two picks later, the expert has Lattimore’s teammate, safety Malik Hooker, being selected seventh overall by the Chargers.

The third Big Ten player off Kiper’s board is also an Ohio State defensive back. He has slotted cornerback Gareon Conley to go 14th overall to the Eagles. Two picks later, Kiper expects Wisconsin’s Ryan Ramczyk to be the first offensive tackle to go off the board to the Ravens at No. 16.
Possibly the most interesting move of this mock draft involves Jabrill Peppers — who else? Kiper said Peppers could go 28th overall to the Dallas Cowboys. Kiper had the Michigan star, who will play safety in the NFL, as the No. 32 overall pick in the last mock draft.
Kiper then placed Peppers’ Michigan teammate, defensive end Taco Charlton, at No. 31 overall to the Saints. Charlton was the eighth projected pick in Kiper’s last mock draft but slipped after the NFL Combine.
