The Big Ten, which has three schools in the Sweet 16, has teams toward the middle and the end. No. 7 Michigan has the conference’s best odds at 16/1 after beating No. 10 Oklahoma State and No. 2 Louisville. Wisconsin isn’t much further back at 18/1. Purdue is listed at 20/1.
Kansas meets Purdue on Thursday in a Midwest Region semifinal. Michigan-Oregon is the region’s other matchup.
In the Midwest, Michigan trailed Louisville by 8 points at halftime before rallying to stun the Cardinals. The Wolverines have won seven in a row, including a memorable Big Ten Tournament championship run following a plane accident.
In the South Region, No. 1 North Carolina gets No. 4 Butler and Kentucky gets UCLA in a No. 2 vs. No. 3 showdown. Those games are on Friday.
The East Region is wide open after losses by No. 1 Villanova and No. 2 Duke. Florida faces Wisconsin and Baylor plays South Carolina in New York City on Friday. Baylor is the highest seed remaining in the East at No. 3.
Out in the West Region, three of the top four seeds advanced to Thursday night. No. 11 Xavier was the surprise after it beat No. 3 Florida State. The Musketeers go up against their former coach, Sean Miller, as No. 2 Arizona is next. Top-seeded Gonzaga faces off against No. 4 West Virginia in the other regional semifinal.
